5. Local Schools
Local schools have been a fabulous source of fundraising for us. From dress down days through to cake sales they have not only raised funding for us, but also raised our profile and introduced us to new host families and others who have continued to support our activities. Talk to your child's class or form teacher about ideas and remember that Kenny is always available to help out. We have also arranged for our children to visit local schools during their stay either to say thank you, or as a more educational cultural exchange experience.
6. Work Related Charity Donations
Give as you earn schemes are a fantastic way for us to guarantee a regular income. Money through schemes at the office are often tax free and are matched by your employer. Host families make a 3 to 5 year commitment to their child, why not do the same with give as you earn where a little money each month very quickly build up to a very significant contribution.
Employers may also be willing to match fund any money that you raise through your own sponsored activity, a fantastic way to achieve double the impact of your hard earned funds.
7. Corporate Sponsorship
From as little as £500 your company could sponsor a child for a year and receive occasional updates on the child throughout the year and meet your child for a short time at your workplace when they are in Scotland. Contact Kenny for further details.
